Are You Getting the Government Benefits You're Entitled To?
Experts estimate that nearly four million eligible low-income older people are not getting the government benefits they deserve.
Why? Many simply are not aware of federal or state assistance that can help pay for or defray the cost of prescription drugs, health care, utilities, and other basics.
Others do not know how to navigate through the maze of government programs or gain access to them. Some simply are too embarrassed to rely on governmental support systems.
